When a customer wonders “what’s the best accounting software for a small business?”, the answer now often comes from ChatGPT rather than a page of Google links. ChatGPT names three or four options with a reason for each, and the decision is often made right there. Are you on that list?
GEO Asked Agent is the free GEO agent we built to answer exactly that. This post explains what it does, how it works and how it connects to Fastemy.
What is GEO Asked Agent?
GEO Asked Agent is a free GEO agent that measures whether AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Google AI Mode and Claude recommend a brand, and shows what it should fix. Use it at geoasked.com in English and Turkish, or hand it to your own AI agent (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor). It needs no sign-up, card or cookies.
The name comes from GEO, Generative Engine Optimization: the work of getting a brand named and cited in AI answers. The term comes from a research paper published in 2023 and presented at KDD 2024, which found that adding sources, quotations and statistics to content could raise visibility by up to 40%.
How it connects to Fastemy
GEO Asked Agent is a Fastemy product. At Fastemy we have built more than 30 mobile apps, and every one of them faced the same question: how will people find it? First in App Store search, then on Google through the guides on this site. In the last year a third door opened: AI answers. People looking for an app or a service now ask ChatGPT, and a brand the answer doesn’t name might as well not exist for them.
We tried the method on our own site before offering it to anyone. In Google Search Console’s generative AI report, fastemy.com’s weekly impressions in Google’s AI features (AI Overviews and AI Mode) went from an August average of 182 to 2,205 in the week of 21–27 October.

GEO Asked Agent is that work turned into a repeatable agent instead of something we redo by hand. I built it as Fastemy’s founder; because it is made for businesses rather than app users, it runs on its own domain, geoasked.com, and sits on Fastemy’s products page.
Earlier on this blog, the guide to building a free website with ChatGPT or Claude touched on SEO and GEO. GEO Asked Agent is how you find out whether AI can see that site once it is live.
How does it work? Three steps
- 01
Type your site, see your score
You type your website or brand name. GEO Asked Agent reads your robots.txt for 16 AI crawlers, actually tries to reach your site as ChatGPT, Perplexity and Claude, and checks the text that can be read without JavaScript, your schema, sitemap, llms.txt and response time. The result is a score out of 100 and a ready-made fix you can copy for every gap.
- 02
Ask five questions like a customer
The agent writes five buyer questions for your business: which is best, which would you recommend, which is affordable, which has the best reviews, what is it compared with most. None of them names your brand, just like a customer who hasn’t heard of you yet. One tap opens them in your own ChatGPT, Google AI Mode or Claude, and you paste the answer back.
- 03
See what to do
The report shows your position for each question, who the AI recommends, which sites the answers read as sources, and whether yours is among them. It ends with up to four clear steps, and the technical fixes go to whoever runs your site in a single message.
No technical knowledge is needed. If you use an AI agent, give it the text in the “For AI agents” box on the analysis page and it runs the same check for you.
Why is it free?
Because the agent works through your own AI assistant, no AI model runs on our side. The site scan runs in a small server function, the scoring and the report happen in your browser, and the questions are asked in your own ChatGPT, Google or Claude account. No cookies, no tracking; the answers you paste stay in your browser.
It is completely free today. A Premium version is on the way: it connects the agent to your own AI agent over MCP, runs it every month and keeps the history and a comparison with rivals. If you want to hear when it opens, there is a waitlist on geoasked.com.
Who is it for?
- Local businesses: clinics, restaurants, salons, trades.
- App and software makers, SaaS products.
- Online stores and brands.
- Consultants, teachers and personal brands.
- Agencies that run their clients’ sites.
No website yet? Try it with your brand name: step two still shows whether AI mentions you.
A measurement, not a guarantee
Nobody can guarantee first place in an AI answer, and we don’t. GEO Asked Agent measures where you stand, shows what is missing and lets you measure again with the same questions after you fix it. You can’t improve what you don’t measure.

Frequently asked questions
Is GEO Asked Agent a Fastemy product?
Yes. Abdullah Yılmaz, the founder of Fastemy, built GEO Asked Agent, and Fastemy lists it on its products page. It runs on its own site, geoasked.com, because it is made for businesses rather than app users.
Is GEO Asked Agent free?
Yes. The agent is free with no sign-up and no card. No AI model runs on its side — it works through your own AI assistant, and the questions are asked in your own ChatGPT, Google AI Mode or Claude account — which is how it stays free. A Premium plan that runs inside your own AI agent has been announced but is not on sale yet.
