How to play Brick Breaker
Brick Breaker (also known as Breakout or Arkanoid) is a classic arcade game. Move the paddle along the bottom to bounce the ball upward into the wall of bricks. Each brick the ball hits is destroyed and scores points. Clear every brick to advance to the next level. If the ball slips past your paddle you lose a life — run out of lives and the game ends.
Controls
- Mouse — move the paddle by moving the cursor.
- Touch — drag your finger across the board.
- Arrow keys — move the paddle left and right.
Tips to clear every level
- Hit with the edges. Striking the ball with the paddle's edge angles your shots.
- Dig a tunnel. Punch through one column to trap the ball above the bricks.
- Stay centred. Return to the middle between bounces so you can reach either side.
- Watch the speed. The ball quickens as bricks fall — keep your eyes on it.
